Introducing The Uninvited Guests, a group of incredibly talented West End performers dedicated to providing top-notch entertainment for your event. Their diverse repertoire covers all styles of music, and each singing waiter has an impressive background, having graced the West End stage, performed in UK Number 1 tours, and entertained on major Cruise Lines. You may recognize them from shows like Les Miserables, Saturday Night Fever, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Beauty and the Beast, among others.
What sets them apart is their ability to create a unique and personalised package designed just for you. With the same core performers, they deliver a flawlessly choreographed and polished show. The performance runs for 30 minutes, starting just after the last dessert is served. Our singing waiters blend seamlessly into your special day, assuming the roles of venue waiters or bar staff before surprising everyone with their incredible voices and getting everyone involved in the fun!
FAQ
How It Works
The team you've booked will arrive two hours before your guests to set up the sound system without being noticed, so the surprise isn't ruined. Then, they'll change into the venue's uniform and help out with tasks, blending in with the staff. During the event, they'll assist with pouring wine, refilling water jugs, and clearing glasses, so people notice them. Finally, when desserts are served, they'll burst into song and provide entertainment. Just remember, they're there as performers, not regular staff, to make your event special and enjoyable.
How Does The Surprise Start
As the final dessert is placed on the table, one of our team members will walk through the room with a tray of spoons. However, they'll pretend to trip and create a little commotion. This is just to grab everyone's attention quickly. The main focus of the performance is to get everyone up and have a fantastic time. Please rest assured that our team is there to add to the venue's ambience and won't do anything to create a negative atmosphere, like bad service, arguments, or interruptive speeches. It's all about spreading joy and enjoyment!
When Does The Surprise Start?
Based on their extensive experience and trying different timings, the performance begins right after the last dessert is served, regardless of any planned speeches. There are several good reasons for this choice. Firstly, they want everyone to be seated and paying attention when the act starts, as guests tend to get up between courses for various reasons like going outside, heading to the bar, or using the bathroom. Having everyone in one place preserves the surprise element. Moreover, they are mindful of not disrupting your schedule, ensuring that by the time all desserts are served, the top table will have finished eating.
The initial couple of songs is meant to set the stage and make everyone aware of what's happening, so by the third song, all guests should have finished their desserts. Performing after a course would add around half an hour to your mealtime and cause delays with the food. This is because if hot food or desserts are served during the performance, guests might lose interest and focus more on their meal than on the entertainment. So, they've carefully selected the perfect timing to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone.
How Long Will The Show Be?
The surprise show usually lasts around 30 minutes, and it typically includes 7 songs. If you want, there's an option for an extra 8th song as an encore. This timeframe works really well and keeps everyone entertained. They have a wide range of songs in their set list, from Classical to Rat Pack. If you can't find a specific song you want, don't worry! With at least 4 weeks' notice and a good backing track available, they can learn and perform an additional song of your choice. So, you have plenty of musical options to make your event even more special!
Do You Provide Your Own Equipment
Absolutely! They do provide PA systems and radio mics for their shows, which is great. However, if your venue is quite large and you expect over 200+ guests, you might need a bigger PA system. Don't worry though, we can help you arrange for a larger PA system on your behalf, (at an additional cost).
