Lord of the Strings redefines the typical string quartet, leveraging electric strings and beatbox for an original performance.
Comprised of four internationally recognised musicians, they masterfully play electric violins, viola, and cello with five and six strings to deliver a truly distinct show.
Their uniquely lauded rendition of Ravel’s ‘Bolero’ features all four members playing on a single cello simultaneously. They engage the audience with a "Name That Tune" challenge as they speedily perform 20 beloved film themes in a seamless arrangement. Their frenetic James Bond medley is unforgettable, and the show concludes with their awe-inspiring signature finale, ‘The History of Music... in 5 Minutes’. With their charisma, humour, energy, and distinct use of custom ‘Violectra’ instruments, they create a truly amazing experience.
Established in 2009, they've completed 13 tours across the USA, performing their extended show in over 130 towns and cities in 37 states.
