Bogus Brothers

Funked

Funked have been busy entertaining people all over the UK and Europe for the last 6 years. The band are completely at home, be it at a corporate party for 2000 guests or a small intimate wedding celebration for less than 100 guests.

Funked are the ultimate live experience, oozing soul, class, integrity, energy, unbelievable musical ability and stunning presentation!

They are always totally professional and know exactly what is expected of them at any event, they are proud of their immaculate reputation. All of Funked's musicians are dedicated and accomplished session players. Funked are available as a 6 or 10-piece band. As a 6-piece band they come with male and female vocalists, keyboards, bass guitar, electric guitar and drums. The 10-piece full experience has the addition of a three piece horn section (trombone, sax, and trumpet) and a Latin Percussionist playing congas, bongos, timbales and hand-percussion. As the band is so busy (and everyone needs a day off) we have an understudy for each position in the band. This keeps the band fresh, funky and ready to blow you away with an awesome party experience. They have all performed with the band hundreds of times so there is no A or B team.

They also offer a number of smaller performance options in Jazz and Soul styles, suitable for a more relaxed point in your event. Amber Lights

Amber Lights were formed using musicians from some of London's busiest function bands and top music schools. The goal was to create a band of the highest quality playing music from across all genres ('50s through to '00s) that would also be competitively priced.

Just one look at the repertoire list and one listen to the demo recordings will show you that this goal was achieved! The band started to fill their diary immediately after publishing their demo and is now an outstanding example of what dedication, limitless energy and sheer talent can do.

All of the band's musicians have an excellent pedigree, with most members having backgrounds in the UK's top music schools; The Guildhall School of Music, The Royal Academy of Music, Trinity College of Music and Leeds College of Music to name a few.

Many of our musicians have also been trained in the ranks of The National Youth Jazz Orchestra and now perform regularly in many of the top west end shows such as We Will Rock You, Cabaret, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Spamalot, Jersey Boys, Fame, Mama Mia, The Lion King, Never Forget and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The musicians are also very highly sought after for some of today's most popular recording artists and can be regularly be seen performing with people such as Kylie Minogue, Madness, Duran Duran, Jools Holland, Jamie Cullum, Lilly Allen, Katie Melua, Just Jack, Charlotte Church, Amy Winehouse, Will Young, Incognito and The James Taylor Quartet.

The band specialises in weddings and corporate events but is equally at home at University balls, parties or even live music festivals. The band has an excellent pedigree, with members coming from top London West End Shows, The Guildhall School of Music, The Royal Academy of Music and The National Youth Jazz Orchestra, ensuring live music of the highest quality.

Line-Up: The core band is a 6-piece with 2 vocalists, guitar, keyboards, bass & drums. On top of that you can also add another outstanding vocalist and/or a funky brass section to create the perfect band for any budget or event.

The band also has a large pool of regular performers from top London music schools in addition to the musicians that you can hear on the demo recordings. There will always be a band for your event no matter what the date or location.

A complete evening of top quality professional entertainment from Amber Lights will always include the following components:

Where do we start? Amber Lights have one of the largest repertoire lists of any function bands, covering everything from '50s soul to '00s pop. Stevie Wonder & Aretha Franklin to keep the old '50s and '60s soul fans happy, James Brown & Kool And The Gang to keep it funky, Sister Sledge & Chic for some '70s disco beats, Huey Lewis & Van Halen keeping the '80s alive, Jamiroquai & The Brand New Heavies for the '90s acid jazz vibe and Maroon 5 & The Scissor Sisters representing the modern pop classics. Something for everyone I think you'll agree!

The band's total song list stands at well over 100 songs, and a normal 2-hour performance will include around 30 of these, tailored to the occasion. We will always attempt to accommodate any requests from our repertoire list to make the set list as personalised as possible. The band can arrange and learn ANY first or last dance request for a small additional fee.

Age Of Pop

A refreshing mix of youth and experience, Age Of Pop are fun, dynamic & one of the most popular Party Bands in the UK. They cover a superb range of classic hits from the 60s to present day, with the option to book a 3, 4, 5 or 6 piece line up.

Age Of Pop are the ideal choice for any event. They perform exclusively for audiences at weddings corporate events and private parties and can scale up their show for large corporate events or functions expanding up to 6 piece band if required. Each show is energetic fun packed and will leave your guests asking for more more more!

High calibre musicianship come as standard with this band. The lead vocalist studied voice and acting trained with Robbie Williams' vocal coach and has appeared in notable productions of Jesus Christ Superstar and Moulin Rouge.

Formed as a professional party band in 1999 years and with over 1000 private engagements since then you can be assured you are in safe hands. Yes…Naked With Attitude are a fully live, incredibly talented bunch of musicians who play… well, in the buff! we feel that gone are the days when function bands consist of five old men in worn out suits, stumbling through a terrible un-heartfelt rendition of ‘mustang sally’….we wanted to bring you something cheeky, fun, quirky and different for your next event.

Whether you’re planning a corporate party and want something that will have your colleagues screaming with laughter, a university ball that will absolutely bring the house down, or a hen do with a band that are guaranteed to bring their trousers down (!),Naked With Attitude are the perfect solution!

THE LIONS

The Lions are a four piece band based in the south of England who specialise in upbeat party tunes, mixing both older classics such as Superstition (Stevie Wonder), Jumping Jack Flash (Rolling Stones), with the more modern party songs from the likes of Kings of Leon, The Killers and Razor Light.

The band are all music graduates and despite their young ages bring a wealth of talent and experience to their live performances, from session work for major record labels to TV work to international touring original and tribute bands.

With their enthusiasm and passion for live music, and their attention to detail, this combo of two guitars, bass, drums and three part harmonies, never fail to deliver a great show.

Playing music that everyone loves Glamour are well-known for reviving those forgotten old favourites but also picking the best of the latest charts and introducing them to different styles giving them an unexpected original and refreshing flavour.

They can play a large range of styles including pop rock funk and soul. Fronted by female and male vocalists/guitar players they have a great rich sound; you will be amazed by their smooth and powerful voices covering a wide range of musical styles and producing great harmonies.

The band’s musical standard is very high; they all have extensive experience playing with some of the UK’s biggest musicians at some of the country’s most prestigious venues. They have worked with many artists both in the studio and life such as Rod Stewart Joss Stone Anja Garbarek Lucie Sylvas Pete Brown (Cream) Robbie McIntosh (Norah Jones McCartney) and Dave Parkinson (Babyshambles Happy Mondays) spanning a wide variety of genres.

Glamour has worked for major labels including Virgin BMG and others as session vocalist’s musicians and writers. They have also worked in top studios such as Abbey Road and performed hundreds of gigs ranging from the Royal Albert Hall to the Jazz Café.

Your event
Glamour are fully self contained supplying high-end equipment: Top instruments and amps professional lights (2 Evolution Effect Lights that change colour and shape to the beat of the music) and complete PA system (+ microphones that you can use for speeches).

The band will play on the basis of 4 musicians that can augment to a larger size with extra singer keyboard player saxophonist and percussionist as an option please ask Chosen Events for more details.

Music in the genre of your choice is provided between sets for no extra charge (ambient during guests arrival and dinner or up-tempo to keep everybody on the dance floor till the end of the night): A great selection for every taste played on computer based mixing software. They can provide a DJ as an option. The band can also learn requests (for example a first dance) free of charge provided they are notified at least four weeks in advance.

Belliss are a well-established hugely talented and stylish party band. Made up of young dynamic industry professionals Belliss are one of the finest acts in the UK today. The 'Riot' band members have CVs and playing credits ranging from Amy Winehouse to Skunk Anansie's Skin and Feeder's Mark Richardson, and the band members have played vast European festivals and some of the UK's leading venues, from Wembley Arena and Shepherd's Bush Empire to Cardiff's Millennium Centre - as well as many of the country's sweatiest students union stages, top corporate events and of course Weddings & Private Parties.

If you're looking for something just a little different to your 'average function band', The Riot are a perfect alternative. The band combine a huge playlist of popular rock and indie tunes from the 90s and 2000s (including tunes from The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon), with the good old 'golden oldies' from bands like The Who, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

The Riot are currently touring Universities, Corporate Events, Weddings and private parties around the UK and worldwide, and have played for corporate names such as Jamesons Whisky, Nespresso, TopShop, O2 and many more.

The Riot can perform either 2 x 70 minute or 3 x 40 minute sets of hits from guitar-based bands like The Killers, Kings of Leon, The Who and The Stones...

Superior Motown are a 7 piece fully live tribute to the Motown era perfectly designed for Corporate Events Weddings and.... anywhere that you want dancing singing and whole lotta nostalgia goin on!

Featuring three gorgeous female vocalists (with their sassy 60’s dance moves and stunning three part harmonies) and a rhythm section that takes you right back to the good old days of Stevie Wonder Martha Reeves and Tina Turner this band is perfectly suited to Corporate Events Weddings and other parties.

The band provides an evening of live entertainment for your event featuring 2 x 70minutes sets of the classic Motown hits. For no extra charge the band can provide a professionally mixed playlist to play during their breaks which can feature music along the same theme or design you an ‘Ultimate Playlist’ of your favourite party tunes (just let us know beforehand and we’ll get it all organised for you). Alternatively you might like to book the Superior Motown DJ who will work alongside the band and take requests on the night.

The musicians used for Superior Motown are of the absolute highest quality & experience and most importantly they have a love for Motown like nobody else... you’ll hear that in their playing and see that in their performance! With an eye for detail this band has a reputation for their outstandingly authentic sound and live show.

Superior Motown Trio

If you're after something a little smaller, Superior Motown also offer a three piece vocal trio!

The trio features the girls from the band singing to high quality backing tracks, a professional sound engineer with a sound rig for up to 300 guests, lighting and an ultimate playlist between sets.

Superior Motown trio perform 2 x 70 minute sets with exactly the same repertoire as the full 7 piece band.

The Christmas Band

There's nothing like a bit of Christmas spirit, and that's one thing this band had oodles of!
The Crazy Xmas band will rock up to your Xmas party and perform a selection of Christmas songs (mixed in with some other party hits if you'd like), fully dressed in Xmas-themed costumes and ready to bring the house down!
Our Experience

The Christmas band is made up of musicians and singers that not only have an uncontrollable LOVE for a certain time of year, but also have a huge amount of musical experience, having performed all over the world for various parties, festivals & corporate events. These guys know how to get your party going, keep everyone up on the dancefloor and construct a fantastic playlist that is full of dynamics, surprises and Christmas fun!

The technical bits

- The band plays 2 x 70minute sets. This can be either all as Christmas Music, or mixing in some other well known party tunes if you'd rather have a bit of variety. This is generally up-tempo party music, but can also include some background jazz –

- The band is a 4 piece line-up that features, 2 female vocalists, live guitar and bass. The rest is on backing track so you have the sound of a much larger band.

A little bit of flexibility
We understand that every event is different, and so like to promote a flexible attitude… so if you have ideas about what you'd like for your event, please let us know and we can put together a package to suit your ideas. For example perhaps you might like the idea of having an additional Christmas-jazz set (featuring songs like 'White Christmas' and 'Let it Snow'), or perhaps you'd like a smaller or larger band - whatever ideas you've got, give Chosen Events  a call and they will discuss options and run up a special quote for you.

The band has a pretty huge repertoire, and can perform 2 x 70 minutes sets of up-tempo Christmas songs, or here are a few other options:

• Two 70 minute party sets, featuring a mix of popular party tunes and of course plenty of Christmas hits.
• One 70minute set of uptempo Christmas Hits, and one 70minute set of other popular party tunes.
• One 70minute set of background Christmas songs (for while guests arrive, for example, or over dinner) and one 70minute set of Chrismas party tunes later in the evening.
